When our Normal Worship Service is over stick around for TWO Men's Fundraisers. They will be hosting a Spaghetti Luncheon and a Car Wash Following Service. At 2pm the youth will be headed out to see Stuart Little at the Arts and Science Center! Then at 4:30pm come on back to the Fellowship Hall for a little Blue Moon Bingo, with fundsraised from this event going toward the playground fun! We hope to see everyone at all these events!

We have a full schedule of events leading up to Easter here at CPC this week.

4/5 Maundy Thursday- A Last Supper meal will occour in McElyea Hall at 6p.m. The meal will include the communion elements.

4/6 Good Friday- the Sanctuary will be open for quiet meditation from Noon until 3p.m.

4/8 Easter / Resurrection Sunday-

 

  • An Easter Morning Breakfast will be served at 8 a.m.
  • An Easter Egg Hunt will be held in front of the Youth Activities Building at 9 a.m.
  • Our Easter / Resurrection of the Lord worship service will be held at 10 a.m. 
    • Please note this change in worship time!
  • Our One Hour of Sharing Offering will be collected during this service. For more information on this worthwile cause a video is available at "Click to read more ..." below.

 

Sunday School WILL NOT MEET THIS WEEK.

Our Men's Group is trying to raise funds for their Men's Retreat to the Buffalo River this coming May. If you'd like to help we're holding a fundraiser luncheon of Chicken and Dumplings this Sunday after worship. $7 per person and $20 for a family of 3 or more. If you are interested in joining our retreat, May 4-6th, the sign up sheet is in McElyea Hall. We are planning on having a Zip Line Tour, a Float on the Buffalo, and a worship service with Communion. A $50 deposit is due by April 1st.

Ash Wednesday is the first day of the Lenten Season that prepares us for Easter. We again invite everyone to come and bring a friend!

Everyone is invited to join us for lunch following morning worship and celebrate Valentine’s Day.  The menu features Suzy's famous homemade lasagna with all the trimmings.  Costs are $8 for Adults, $15 for Couples, and $20 for Families (4 or more).
